Welcome to LinkSMART, an independent consultancy company, dedicated to the provision of Training Programs and Technical Advice services in air/ground communication projects to aircraft operators, air traffic service providers and all entities somehow engaged in the development of datalink solutions.

Sergio Martins - CEO/Founder of LinkSMART, a graduated Electrical Engineer, with MBA in Executive Administration and Pos-Graduation in Marketing and Branding Development, gathers over twenty five years of experience in the air transport industry, in areas as air traffic control, flight dispatch, performance engineering and air/ground communication projects, having actively led, for sixteen years, datalink implementation process in Latin America and the Caribbean.

CONTRACKT - Efficiency and Safety for General Aviation




Within the Brazilian environment where only 2% of its more than five thousand and five hundred cities and 3% of its four thousand and two hundred aerodromes are served by regular commercial aviation, it proves essential to dedicate special attention to the general aviation – a real social inclusion and development expansion tool.

This scenario tends to become even more critical as we approach major international events as 2014 Soccer World Cup and 2016 Olimpic Games, just when national airport infrastructure is already under great pressure.

With the third largest business jet fleet and the second largest agriculture fleet worldwide, general aviation safety is a great concern for the industry, if we just take into account that only 4% of the accidents reported by the Brazilian Civil Aviation between 2000 and 2009 occurred within regular commercial aviation environment.

In the meantime international statistics show that within regular commercial aviation worldwide, approximately 70% of accidents and incidents are caused by flight crew’s failure to make efficient use of information and resources available outside the cockpit.

In response to those numbers and reiterating its firm commitment with the Brazilian general aviation, LinkSMART is glad to announce the pre-operational launch of CONTRACKT service.

CONTRACKT service has been specifically designed to provide the Brazilian general aviation with resources geared to improve its efficiency and safety levels:

- In-flight real time operational support to flight crews from departure (login) to landing (logout), through air/ground satellite communications (SATCOM)

- Permanent and real time update of aircraft operators and owners, in regards to in-flight position and operational status, through a WEB based / password protected interface.

CONTRACKT service supports any installed platform of air/ground communications via satellite (SATCOM), as well as includes free-of-cost neutral and independent support in the evaluation of a wide range of solutions available in the industry, for aircraft not equipped for SATCOM communications.
